Our school council takes representatives from year groups across the school, and gives the children an opportunity to pass ideas, suggestions and comments and work with Pupil Forum members to make changes in the local community.
At the start of this year children from each class tried to persuade their class mates to vote for them with their 'pre-election' speeches.
After a democratic vote our new School Council was formed.
The children were proud to be presented with their new badges during assembly and were introduced to the whole school by Mrs Spinks.
Well done to all children who confidently took part in this process.
POWER FOR GOOD
On Tuesday 15th School Council performed an assembly about anti-bullying, it was a huge success! We had Year 6's Robyn and Thomas, leading it with the other members advertising the slogan,POWER FOR GOOD! They sent a message out to all students that they have a restricted no Bullying campain, and that Bullying is wrong. They made a power point up to help children understand the meaning of Bullying. They spreaded the message about cyber-bullying, physical, emotional ,verbal bullying and that bulling hurts feelings. Thank you to Mrs Williams and Mrs Barlow for helping us to prepare.Thank you to year 6 for reading out there own poem called Mr Bully, Why ?
