Date: 7th Jun 2018 @ 10:48am

Today we have been investigating what is beneath our feet and we were very surprised to learn that it is made of three main layers: The crust, the mantle and the core. The core has two layers: an inner and outer layer. The inner core is the hottest part of the Earth and it's core temperatures can reach 5,000 'C (Mia)The inner core is made of super hot metal (Oscar). The hot rock in the Earth's mantle melts to become a liquid( Lucy). The outer core is made from iron and nickle (Brooklyn). The rock in the mantle is burning hot, the temperature is up to 3,000 'C (Lily)
