Governors
The Governing Body has the responsibility for ensuring the good conduct and high standards of educational provision and achievement throughout the school.
Governors do this by setting the strategic direction of the school, ensuring the quality of the education is high and by holding the Headteacher to account.
All of this will enable governors to continually drive up standards within our school
The Governing Body have responsibility for raising school standards through their three key roles:
Ensuring the vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school are clearly defined.
Ensuring the Headteacher is held to account for the educational performance of the school.
Ensuring sound financial management of the school’s financial resources.
Our Governing Body consists of the following types of Governors:
Head teacher: The head teacher of the school.
Parent: Parents of school age children - represent the parents and childen.
Foundation: Members of the local C of E Church - represent the Diocese of Chester.
Staff: Members of the school staff - represent the Staff members, both teachers and support staff.
Local Education Authority: represent Cheshire West and Chester Local Authority.
Co-opted: any person with an interest in supporting the school.
