PE with KIXX - PE will be every Wednesday afternoon, please send your child to school in their PE kit on this day
Reading books - Please return your child's reading book, and library book, to school on a Monday
PHONICS MEETING
We will be holding a phonics meeting on Wednesday 23rd October at 2.30pm in the school hall. This will be an opportuntiy for you to find out how we teach phonics and reading in school.
why not come along and have a cuppa whilst finding out how you can support your child with phonics and reading at home.

Our Christian value this half term is Thankfulness. We will be talking about this in class, exploring what it means and how we can show this towards each other.
In Literacy we follow the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Programme for phonics and reading. Your child will be given a reading book on a Tuesday, and will read this in school on Tuesday and Thursday.
We will then send the book home for you to share/read together on Thursday. Please return the book to school on Monday so that we can change the books ready for the week. In your child's bookbag there will also be their reading journal where you can record that you have read with your child.
The book that your child reads will be matched to their phonic ability. This is for the child to read to the adult. Initially your child will bring home a wordless book, this is to encouage discussion and expand your child's imagination, and have lots of fun together! There is a leaflet with your childs book to support you with this.
Your child will also take home a book from our school library, to be shared with you to help the children develop a love of reading for pleasure.
If you have any questions or worries at any time, about anything related to school, please do just ask any of the Reception Team - we are all more than happy to help.
